Reiki was developed in 1922 by Japanese Buddhist Mikao Usui and is still the form most widely practiced today. Reiki is a simple, natural and safe technique for stress reduction and relaxation to help promote healing. It is based on the idea that life force energy flows through each of us.
By lightly placing of the hands over or lightly touching the body, the practitioner transmits life energy to the client to help reduce pain, speed healing and create deep relaxation.
