It’s definitely summer out there in Central Ohio, with the sun and warmth and humidity!

When it’s too hot for golden milk, I like to drink my turmeric and ginger through this blended watermelon drink. It is light, refreshing, and summery!

 

 

It’s also a very pretty drink so be sure to choose a glass so you can see what you are drinking. After all, we eat with our eyes first. This drink is especially helpful for my old running (and often aching) knees. They benefit from the anti-inflammatory properties of turmeric and ginger. Both herbs also help with digestion, which is always a plus!

 

Watermelon Drink Recipe:

2 cups watermelon
1/4 cup water
1 1/2 Tbsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp turmeric (can use fresh of course too)
1/4 tsp ground ginger (can use fresh of course too)
1/2 tsp coconut oil
Black pepper
Honey (if you like)
Blend everything together in your blender and enjoy!
